Not only is NJ's a haven for people who want to ditch toxic chemicals and use organic hair care products instead, it's also an amazing salon for people living gluten free lifestyles. Whether you have a gluten intolerance, sensitivity, allergy or Celiac disease, NJ's Organic Hair Salon has options for you!
Gluten Free Hair Care Products
The vast majority of products at NJ's Organic Hair Salon are gluten free. The two product lines we carry are Intelligent Nutrients and Natulique and each line has a huge array of gluten free products. Whether you're looking for shampoo, conditioner or styling products we can definitely hook you up with the best product, not only for your sensitivity, but for your exact hair type as well. At NJ's we have shampoos and conditioners for dry and damaged hair, normal hair, thin hair, and hair loss and NONE of them contain any gluten whatsoever.
It's actually quite difficult for us to list all the products we carry that don't contain gluten. In fact, the only products we can think of that may contain gluten are the Hair Colour Treatment and the Volumizing Hair Mousse by Natulique. The Hair Colour Treatment contains Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein and the Volumizing Hair Mousse contains Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol. However if you read this page on Natulique's website you will see that the Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein they used has actually been declared Gluten Free by Gluten Free Dietitian and Nutrition Consultant, Tricia Thompson.
Gluten Free Hair Color Line

The hair color line we use at NJ's Organic Hair Salon is by Natulique as well. These colors do contain Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, but don't worry. It's the same kind that Natulique uses in their Volumizing Hair Mousse which, like mentioned above, has been declared Gluten Free by Gluten Free Dietitian Tricia Thompson. Also, if you're still not convinced, and are hesitant to try our amazing, natural, and ammonia free colour line, then we can give you a small patch test the day before your appointment to make sure you don't experience a negative reaction.
