Featured Stylist: Victoria
We have such a talented team of stylists at NJ's Organic Hair Salon. Today we are featuring our Stylist, Victoria. Victoria is from Nelson and is a wonderful stylist who especially loves creating updos. Read along to find out more about her background as a stylist, her specialties, favorite products and more!
Why did you decide to go into hair styling?
I went into hair styling because I love art and hair dressing to me is a form of art.
What is your educational background and how long have you been styling?
I went to Mount Boucherie for my hair education and I've been hair dressing for about 2 years now. I have also done a lot of other courses while working for another salon.
What are your specialties?
My specialties are colorful ombres, updos and long hair cuts.
What advice would you give a client who is looking for a big change in their hair?
I would tell them to go for what they are or would be most confident in. It would also depend on the scenario. We would start off with an in depth consultation and see where their style leads to.
What do you love most about being a stylist?
I love meeting new people and being able to make them feel either beautiful or handsome.
What is the best compliment you've ever received from a client?
I had one client tell me, and post online, that I was the best stylist she had ever had.
What do you love most about working at NJ's Organic Hair Salon?
I absolutely love working at NJ's salon. From the group of people I work with to the fact that I'm breathing clean air for once.
When you're not styling hair, what do you get up to?
When I'm not styling hair I either draw or cuddle my cat.
What is your favorite product that we carry at NJ's?
My favorite product carried at NJ's is the Harmonic Shampoo and Conditioner. For one it smells amazing and the effects are uncanny. It gives a cool minty chill that stimulates the scalp and can help if you have a head ache but it is also very cleansing and adds a very nice shine once its dry and styled.
